Kathy Cripps Inducted into ICCO Hall of Fame
PR Council president Kathy Cripps was inducted into the International Communications Consultancy Organisation’s (ICCO) International Hall of Fame last week.
ICCO’s Hall of Fame represents an exclusive recognition of the exceptional progress its members have made towards the internationalisation of the public relations industry.
“Kathy’s contributions to PR go well beyond the US, where the PR Council has evolved into a powerful industry body,” said David Gallagher, ICCO President and CEO, Ketchum Europe. “Her steadfast support for ICCO and the thoughtful expansion of PR into markets around the world has been a great source of inspiration and confidence for me personally at Ketchum and in various volunteer capacities.”
Joining Cripps in this year’s class is former PR Council Chairman, Ray Kotcher, Senior Partner and Chairman, Ketchum; Barry Leggetter, CEO, AMEC; Richard Houghton, past ICCO President and Agency Doctor; and Arun Sudhaman, Editor-In Chief, Holmes Report.
The group was inducted into the Hall of Fame following the official announcement at the inaugural ICCO Global Awards in London on November 26th.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by a prestigious industry group like ICCO,” said Cripps. “After working closely with them for years, I know what kind commitment they have to advancing the public relations business on a global scale. The work they do for the industry is important and should be applauded.”
Cripps is stepping down as PR Council president at the end of the year after running the association for 13 years. Prior to joining the Council she had a successful career at Burson-Marsteller and Hill + Knowlton Strategies.
