Fellowships Awarded to Chicago, Miami and New York-Based Agencies

NEW YORK – February 6, 2018 – The PR Council (PRC) today welcomes five minority-owned PR firms as part of its commitment to bringing diversity of all kinds to the PR agency business.  The firms include: Boden (Miami, Florida), The Boreland Group, Inc. (New York City), Egami Group (New York City), Fetch Integrated Marketing Communications (Chicago, IL) and Flowers Communications Group (Chicago, IL).

The firms receive access to the PRC’s business-building, talent development, and networking initiatives and are encouraged to participate in the committees and communities whose work helps to further the agenda of the council and the industry.

“Diversity and inclusion are core to the mission of the Council and its members.  I know that what we learn from the impressive leaders of these firms will add enormous value and meaning to our efforts and help to accelerate the change we need in our industry,” explains Gail Heimann, new PR Council Board Chair and Weber Shandwick President.

The one-year fellowships were presented to firms with three or more practitioners that have been in operation for at least one year.

“Representing the highest standards in the PR agency arena, these five organizations will make significant contributions not only as new Members of the PR Council, but to the industry,” said PRC President Kim Sample. “We’re confident that the firms’ leaders and teams will greatly benefit from their involvement with the PRC and our Members.”
