Alissa Medina joins the PR Council as Digital Coordinator, overseeing all aspects of digital for our ever-evolving PR industry. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Alissa’s love for Hollywood transcended to digital media and technology-infused practices after she interned at international television shows such as TMZ, Access Hollywood, and Los Angeles-based news channel, NBC4. By completing hybrid Editorial and Social Media internships in her undergraduate career at UC Riverside, she was able to discover how television shows were early adopters of social media and the evolving digital world, aiding them in the implementation of Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Youtube.
As a recent master’s student graduate from NYU’s Media, Culture, and Communication program, Alissa brings her passion for social media and digital communication to PR Council. In the past, she worked with women’s fashion brand Etienne Aigner as a social media manger, and began her own startup for millennials called Fembot Magazine.
