The Emma Bowen Foundation is building a more diverse media industry.
We recruit promising students of color and place them in multi-year paid internships at some of the nation’s leading media, PR and technology companies, provide the media and tech industries with a pipeline of young talent and emerging leadership, and advocate for best practices in diverse hiring, retention, and advancement.
We believe that diversity is important in all aspects of the media industry, from the correspondents in front of the camera to the media sales departments bringing in revenue to the coders and engineers who are changing the way we access and understand content. With this in mind, we prepare our students for careers in one of our three program tracks – the Business of Media, the Content of Media, and the Innovation of Media.
The LAGRANT Foundation
The LAGRANT Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of advertising, marketing and public relations by providing scholarships, career & professional development workshops, mentorships and internships/entry-level positions to African American/Black, Alaska Native/Native American, Asian American/Pacific Islander and Hispanic/Latino undergraduate and graduate students.
