PR Council Pay Equity Statement
The PR Council (PRC) developed the following Statement on pay equity, which its Board of Directors approved at its March 22, 2018 meeting in New York, NY.
The PR Council holds at its core the values of truth and transparency.
Our commitment to these values extends to our support for pay equity among PR professionals, regardless of gender, race/ethnicity, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, age, veteran, disabled, and genetic identity of any other protected status.
We encourage our Member agencies to adopt policies that ensure fair pay for all PR professionals, and to utilize consistent criteria when determining initial and subsequent compensation decisions. Consistent review of compensation will not only narrow the gender pay gap, but also boost productivity and benefit our Members and their employees.
